According to a recent survey done by Barna Research Group, 85% of GenZ describe the Church as hypocritical and ⅓ of them believe the American Church is characterized by “moral failures” in leadership. So how do we reach a generation that really doesn’t trust the Church or its leaders?

In this conversation, we will have an honest discussion about how to become leaders who are worthy of GenZ’s trust through accountability, humility and repentance.

Matt Chandler

Matt Chandler is the lead pastor of teaching at The Village Church in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and the president of Acts 29. He has authored several books, including Take Heart, Mingling of Souls, Recovering Redemption, To Live Is Christ to Die Is Gain, Creature of the Word, The Explicit Gospel, and Joy in the Sorrow. Matt and his wife, Lauren, live with their three children—Audrey, Reid, and Norah—in Highland Village, Texas.

Dr. Melissa Patton

Dr. Melissa Patton serves as the Chief Operations Officer at both Victory Church and The Victory Corporation. She is an impassioned educator as well as an innovative and thriving entrepreneur. Melissa has devoted a lifetime to assisting people to better understand their purpose and potential through the vehicles of education, business development, and strategic planning. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing from Drake University, a master’s degree in community counseling from Concordia University, and a doctor of education degree in higher education and organizational change from Benedictine University. She's married to Pastor Stanley and they have two sons Micah and Mason Patton.


Grant Skeldon

In response to young people being labeled noncommittal, lazy, entitled, slacktivists, Grant Skeldon started Initiative Network when he was 23 with the goal to develop young leaders into Christ-loving, city-changing, church-investing, disciple-making local missionaries. Initiative has united and accelerated some of the most diverse and dynamic next gen leaders from across the country. In 2020 Grant got married and moved to Nashville to become the Next Gen Director for Q.

He has written for The Wall Street Journal, Relevant, and The Gospel Coalition. His book on millennials, The Passion Generation has helped thousands of pastors and parents who are trying to reach, raise, and retain the next generation. Grant serves on the board of Catalyst, as well as an associate for Leadership Network and Exponential.

Hannah Gronowski Barnett

Hannah Gronowski, Founder and CEO of Generation Distinct, Speaker, Preacher and Author has always been wired to abolish cultural complacency, unleash lasting justice, and join the wild adventure Jesus invites us all to live. A passionate movement-maker, social influencer and voice for her generation, Hannah had a jump start at speaking and writing, working full time in youth ministry, spending a ministry season in the Dominican Republic, graduating college and launching Generation Distinct, all by age 20.

Now a sought after speaker at Leadership Conferences, Churches, College Campuses and Youth Events around the globe, Hannah is also a profile speaker for The Women’s Speaker Collective and a regular writing contributor for The Global Leadership Summit. Host of The Generation Distinct Podcast and The Hannah Gronowski Leadership YouTube Channel, she has also been recognized by her community with a Leader of Youth Award for her work mentoring teens and serving refugee children through World Relief. Generation Distinct has grown to reach leaders all over the world with a 4 step Journey to discover the wrong you were born to make right, leading them to experience who Jesus really is.
