Webinar: Book Tour: Heart Logic

Episode 1: Book Introduction

“We’ve written Heart Logic to show you how the questions we answer in the deepest places within us are pivotal to our capacity for wisdom and wellness. Our hearts often make sense of things with the influence of the pain that has found a home in us instead of the influence of God’s truth. When we listen to instinctual, unevaluated logic of the heart, we set ourselves up to think we’re being wise, but we’re actually lacking true wisdom. If our hearts are operating with assumptions that don’t match God’s, we’re bound to suffer consequences in life—consequences such as mistrust, defeat, isolation, and discouragement. We’ll lack the wellness that is built on strength, joy, and connection.

Most of us haven’t truly stopped to evaluate the contents of our hearts. We simply move through life with our heart’s unseen voice shaping our conclusions about the things and people around us. The problem with this kind of living is that our hearts are pretty good at convincing us that we’re wise to listen to them—even when they’re misleading us! Our hearts think they know what is good and bad. But, too often, they’re wrong.”

Myron Pierce

Myron is the founder and lead pastor of Mission Church in Omaha. At the age 18, he faced a life sentence in prison for his life of gang banging, drugs, and crime. Myron surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus and while leaving the courtroom he heard God whisper, 'I'm going to get you out of prison to plant churches.'" Through a series of miracles, the prison doors opened for him after 8 years. His call is to saturate every U.S. inner city with new churches. Myron received his B.A. in Biblical Studies and Business Leadership at Grace University. Alongside leading the churches, Myron operates three small businesses. We are better together!

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
John 17:22-23
